PROTIVÍN
The first written records of the Protivín brewery date back to 1540. In 1711, ownership passed to the Schwarzenbergs, and the brewery remained in the hands of this aristocratic family for over two centuries. It was during the Schwarzenberg era that the beautiful brewhouse, with its copper kettles, was built in the brewery, including an atypical square wort pan that is used to this day. South Bohemian water from the brewery’s own wells, a traditional brewing method and the skill of the local experts have been the basis of the beer brewed here for decades under the Platan label.

RYCHTÁŘ
The brewery was founded in the Bohemian town of Hlinsko in 1913. Originally a joint-stock brewery, it was nationalised in 1948 and incorporated into the Horácké pivovary company and later the Východočeské pivovary company. Pale lager was first bottled under the name RYCHTÁŘ in 1981. The Rychtář Brewery is one of the few breweries in the country still using whole hops in their natural form. The brewery strives to provide high-quality beer produced by classic Czech technology using the most modern production methods at an affordable price.

ČERNÁ HORA
The first written mention of Černá Hora beer dates back to 1298, while the Černá Hora Brewery is first documented in 1530, when the local domain was owned by the brothers Tas and Jaroslav Černá Hora from Boskovice. In addition to the Lords of Boskovice, the brewery is historically associated mainly with the prominent noble Liechtenstein family and the Auerspergs. The brewers at the Černá Hora Brewery, in a picturesque town close to the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area in the Blansko region, use traditional production methods and the highest-quality ingredients to brew beer. The range of beers is complemented by the production of soft drinks, table water and cider.

JIHLAVA
The oldest records of malt production and brewing in Jihlava appear in the town book from the first half of the 14th century. The Jihlava statute confirmed by Maria Theresa in 1748 lists 123 malthouses with brewing rights. In 1860, the brewery was established as the successor to Jihlava’s holders of brewing rights and was ceremonially opened on 4 April 1861. The brewery is home to the Ježek beer brand.

KLÁŠTER NAD JIZEROU
The Klášter Brewery was named after the Cistercian monastery that was founded in the second half of the 12th century on the site of today’s brewery. Although at one time it was one of the most important church buildings in Europe, today only the gate, with its beautiful portal, is preserved in the courtyard of the brewery.

UHERSKÝ BROD
Brewing in the royal town of Uherský Brod has a long tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. The first jointly-owned brewery, which replaced the individual brewing houses, was built by the burghers of Uherský Brod in 1614. The current brewery was built in 1895 by the brewer František B. Janáček.

VYSOKÝ CHLUMEC
The first mention of beer brewing in the local domain, owned for years by the aristocratic Bohemian Lobkowicz family, dates back to 1466. The Lobkowicz family bought the brewery in 1576.
